Fr. 41a $2 1862 Legal Tender PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.While not a rare number by any means, Fr. 41a shares with its early Legal Tender Note compatriots a distinct tendency toward problem examples in well circulated grades. While PMG has graded 175 Fr. 41a notes, only seven have reached this grade level, with three 64s and a lone 66 atop the grading pyramid. This is a quite lovely new addition to the census, with vibrant color on both face and back. Its only detracting factor is a minor repair which is not at all readily visible.
