Description

Willmar, MN - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The First NB Ch. # (M)6151
This pretty Red Seal is one of only two listed in the census, with the other a serial number 1 example that fetched $12,650 when it sold six years ago. This specimen traces its pedigree back to the Grinnell sale of 1946, where it was lot 4002 and realized all of $25.00, and was obtained by our consignor from a NASCA sale some forty years later, where it brought $525. It bears the pen signature of C.W. Odell as Cashier. Mr. Odell, the organizer of this bank, served as a Minnesota state senator representing Kandiyohi County from 1911 through 1914. PMG About Uncirculated 55, with a few closed pinholes that affect nothing.
