Fr. 7 $10 1861 Demand Note PMG Very Fine 20.This is a well printed and evenly circulated example of this scarce Ten Dollar Philadelphia Demand Note that is one of just four dozen numbers reported, with about one-third of those pieces listed with some kind of impairment. This offering, which is, refreshingly, problem-free and solid for the grade, is well up in the grade census with PMG not having graded a Fr. 7 above the 25 level. The note has terrific color, strong pen signatures and excellent eye appeal. Looking at the auction records for a point of comparison, at last year's FUN auction, we sold a repaired PMG Very Fine 25 example for $10,800.
