Fairchild, WI - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. #
7264 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.A welcome new addition to the census from a bank which issued a mere handful of notes before succumbing to the ravages of the Great Depression in August of 1931. Prior to this evening, just four small size (and two large) were reported from this Eau Claire County charter, none of which have made a public appearance since the dispersal of the Chet Krause holdings in 2008. This newly surfaced piece is a bright mid-grade example exhibiting just light, even wear. It provides the first opportunity in over fifteen years for the many avid Wisconsin collectors to obtain a note from this obscure community. The PMG holder mentions staining.
