Weatherford, TX - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 497 The Merchants & Farmers National Bank Ch. # 3975 PMG Choice Fine 15.A very scarce Weatherford bank which issued Brown Backs only before liquidating at the expiration of its charter at the end of 1908 is represented in this lot. This $20 is a new addition to the mere five pieces recorded in the census, one of which is in the Philpott/Moody holdings. Displaying just honest wear, it retains decent color for the grade.
