EPQ.This is a great uncut sheet from the first bank to receive a charter in the entire country. Notes from Charter Number 1 have always held a special appeal to collectors and this lot provides an opportunity to acquire an uncut sheet from this popular charter. It is one of several sheets known from this bank and was last on the market in our May 1999 auction. There is a fold seen between each of the notes, but, otherwise, this is a bright, well embossed sheet with great color and only minor handling. Last year, an identically graded sheet made up of four $10 Date Backs sold at auction for $9,600.
