Gorgeous Original Series First Charter Ace

California, MO - $1 Original Fr. 382 The Moniteau National Bank Ch. # 1712 PCGS Banknote Choice Unc 64.
Always a popular choice with collectors due to its "misplaced town" name, as well as the fact that it is a perfect fit for any high-grade type set of National Bank Notes. A very bright and colorful Original Series Ace that bears the earliest signature combination of Robert Quincy Roache and Wm. Fulks. This Moniteau County bank came into being late in 1870, and survived through the end of the national banking era. Last year we sold three First Charter Aces: a PCGS Banknote Gem Unc 66 PPQ for $15,600, a PMG Choice Unc 64 EPQ for $6,000, and a PMG Choice About Unc 58 EPQ for $4,440.
