Crandall, TX - $10 1882 Brown Back Fr. 490 The First National Bank Ch. # (S)5824 PMG Choice Fine 15.This very rare note comes from a bank that operated in a small Kaufman County town that had a population of only around 250 citizens when this charter opened its doors. It is the only Brown Back reported out of a total of a mere seven large size in the census, two of which are in institutional collections. Strong black ink penned signatures of the cashier and vice president are evident on this evenly circulated note.
