Bryan, TX - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 498 The City National Bank Ch. # (S)4070 PMG Very Fine 30.A scarce early note from this Brazos County bank, this is one of only three Brown Backs reported. However, of that trio, this is the only example that is not locked away in an institutional collection. This pretty note, which traces its provenance to The J.L. Irish Collection sold in 1997, is a bright and boldly inked $20 that features attractive red printed signatures. PMG has noted a repair which appears to be nothing more than a closed edge split.
