Attractive $5 New York Demand Note
Fr. 1 $5 1861 Demand Note PMG Choice Very Fine 35.An evenly circulated good looking Demand Note, this country's original "Greenback." PMG has mentioned a restoration and they are indeed correct although the work is only visible from the back. Both signatures are strong and the note has wholesome overall eye appeal. In our recent FUN auction, we sold another Fr. 1 note in a repaired PMG Very Fine 25 holder for $9,000.
