Newport, RI - $5 1875 Fr. 405 The Union National Bank Ch. # 2554 PMG Very Fine 30.A very scarce Newport bank that issued First and Second Charters only before closing its doors in 1912. This is one of only a dozen or so pieces reported and is crossing the auction block for the first time since our 2002 Central States auction. It has loads of eye appeal for the grade, with brilliant ink colors and dark pen signatures.
