Seldom Offered Mini-Brick of Star Notes

Fr. 1931-K* $1 2003A Federal Reserve Star Notes. Original Mini-Brick of 1,000. Not Graded.
An original mini-brick of 1,000 notes consisting of ten original packs of 100 notes that still resides in its shrink-wrap covering. The first note is a Dallas star with serial number K00301001*. This mini-brick is composed of 1,000 stars. We know this from the fact that all ten original packs have striped BEP bands. BEP striped bands are used only for full packs of stars. This mini-brick has a Kansas City label. A reasonable question one may have is, "Why do these Dallas stars have a Kansas City label?" The BEP's standard operating procedure for many years now has been to ship stars to any district regardless of what district the star note is on. Also, stars for one series can be inserted within notes of another series. More information can be gleaned from the article at www.spmc.org - "Currency Label Sets Old and New" in Paper Money, Society of Paper Money Collectors, March/April 1989, Vol. XXVIII, No. 2, Whole No. 140, pages 52-55. This mini-brick is not graded and at least the final pack was inserted upside down. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason. (Total: 1000 notes)
