Richfield Springs, NY - $10 1875 Fr. 420 The First National Bank Ch. # 2651 PMG Choice Fine 15.One of the last banks in New York to issue First Charters. It is a scarce bank as well, with less than a dozen and a half large size notes making up the current census. This nice First Charter $10 is one of them and contains an interesting engraving anomaly, where the engraver, after putting in the town name, ran out of space and to put the letters "N.Y." on the line below. It is a pleasing, pen signed example with some deft repair work on the lower left corner that can only be found after close examination.
