Description

Westfield, NY - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 609 The Grape Belt National Bank Ch. # 12476 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
A lovely note from this western New York bank that obviously took its name from the vast vineyards scattered throughout New York's Southern Tier and Finger Lakes areas. Opening in 1923, the bank was only in business for eight years before being absorbed by its competitor in town, the National Bank, in 1931. One of fewer than ten single large notes reported, it is a bright, well embossed $5 with just a small internal tear.
