Serial Number 1 New York, NY - $5 1929 Ty. 1 Sterling National
Bank & Trust Company Ch. # 13295 Uncut Strip of Five PMG About
Uncirculated 53.This is a partial Serial Number 1 uncut sheet from this late-chartering New York City bank that issued small size only. It represents the bottom five notes from the first sheet of $5s issued by the bank with only the "A" position example missing from the sheet. There are folds between the notes, a bit of pencil writing in the right margin of the "F" note, and the bottom left corner of the sheet is missing. However, each of the five notes is boldly printed and well embossed. They are also the first Number 1 notes to be reported from this charter.
