Description

Nunda, NY - $1 Original Fr. 382a The First National Bank Ch. # 2224 PMG Very Fine 20.
First Charters only were issued from this very scarce bank, the only issuer in this Livingston County hamlet. This institution elected to give up its national charter in 1895 and become a private institution. As of 1910, it had just $544 outstanding. Surprisingly, eight survivors are reported including this Ace which was acquired by our consignor from our 1996 FUN auction. The first note from this one-bank location to be offered in eight years, it has some edge damage and pinholes, but still displays very nice color and signatures for the grade.
