Wayland, NY - $5 1882 Value Back Fr. 574 The First National Bank Ch. # (E)5196 PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ.A scarce early note from the only bank to issue in this Steuben County community. As do most of the notes that Dick obtained for his collection, it displays loads of eye appeal, with sharp colors, a vivid blue overprint and two color signatures. Nearly twenty years have passed since any early note was available at public sale from this Southern Tier location, but the long wait is over for collectors this evening.
