Washingtonville, NY - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 600 The First National Bank Ch. # 9065 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.A great companion piece to go with the number 2 Red Seal we are offering from this very scarce Orange County bank in this sale. As we noted in the previous lot, this is a very challenging one bank location that closed its doors in 1931 leaving just $660 in large size outstanding. This new entrant to the census is quite an appealing piece with great color and dark signatures. Its only flaws, if they can be called that, are a few tiny rust specks and a couple of inconsequential pin holes. Last October, we sold a PMG Very Fine 25 Date Back with more serious issues than this note for $3,600.
