Vernon, TX - $5 1882 Date Back Fr. 537 The Waggoner National Bank Ch. # (S)5203 PMG Very Fine 20.While ten large size are reported from this Wilbarger County bank, this is the first example to be publicly offered in almost 20 years. This $5 Date Back from this private name bank, which was named for wealthy rancher W.T. Waggoner who also owned this institution, is one of those reported notes. It is making its first auction appearance since our 1997 FUN auction. It has a tear and residue on its back, but it faces up nicely for its assigned grade.
