Description

Moravia, NY - $10 1882 Date Back Fr. 542 The Moravia National Bank Ch. # (E)2353 PMG Very Fine 30.
First and Second Charter notes only were issued from this very scarce Cayuga County bank that elected to close its doors in 1912 and merge with its competitor in town, the First National. This is one of just five pieces in the census from this rare charter and the first to be publicly offered since we auctioned this very note in our 2013 FUN Signature Auction. It is a bright, boldly signed 1882 $10 Date Back with just an insignificant repaired edge split in the wide bottom margin.
