Description

Unique New York $10-$10-$10-$20 Uncut Red Seal Sheet

Moravia, NY - $10-$10-$10-$20 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613/639 The First National Bank Ch. # (M)99 Uncut Sheet PCGS Banknote About Unc 50.
This truly wonderful uncut Red Seal sheet comes from a low charter number Upstate New York bank. There are a couple of light folds between the notes, but the colors are fully bright and the notes themselves grade CU or better. Last on the market in our September 1999 auction, the sheet has retained both its top and bottom selvage with some contemporary writing by the bank's Vice-President seen in the top margin. Red Seal sheets above the $5 denomination are very rare, as attested to by the fact that this is the only such sheet known from any New York bank. Even the fabulous Grinnell collection did not have such a sheet of this denomination combination in its holdings.
