Description

Pepperell, MA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 634 The First National Bank Ch. # 5964 PMG Very Fine 30.
A very tough to acquire note, this offering comes from the only issuer in this obscure Middlesex County community and a bank that voted to liquidate in March of 1934 with just $2,430 in large notes outstanding. This is one of just six pieces reported and it is a note that last crossed the auction block in 2016. An attractive mid-grade $10, it is one of the finer survivors from here with bright paper, sharp ink colors, and bold stamped signatures.
