Northport, NY - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank & Trust
Company Ch. # 5936 PMG Very Fine 30.This is certainly a candidate for the single rarest Series 1929 example from Long Island's Suffolk County, as it is the only small size note known from this institution, which was Northport's sole issuer. Last on the market in our 2006 FUN auction, this bright and crisp $10 fetched a strong $11,500. While some of the major collectors of Long Island notes have exited the scene since that time, there are still enough Long Island enthusiasts around to generate some serious bidding interest tonight for this unique rarity.
