Rare Wooster, OH First Charter $20
Wooster, OH - $20 1875 Fr. 431 The NB of Wooster Ch. # 1912A very rare note from a bank which issued First Charters only before liquidating in 1891. The latest census shows only three examples extant, an Original Series Ace and a pair of deuces, making this $20 a wonderful new addition to that small group. First Charter $20s are a rare breed, even as a type, and to locate a specimen such as this offering on a scarce bank is certainly an almost unique situation. Best of all, it is a pretty, problem free piece with vibrant color and solid margins all the way around. Boldly pen signed PCGS Very Fine 25, a great Ohio rarity.
