Hastings-Upon-Hudson, NY - $5 1929 Ty. 2 The First National Bank
Ch. # 8586 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ.The finest of just seven small size reported from this extremely scarce Westchester County bank, this lovely note is also only the second 1929 Series example to be publicly offered in the past dozen years. The last occurrence was in our 2019 Long Beach auction when we offered another Type 2 $5, in a PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ holder, that realized $2,760. This bright, well embossed piece is miles ahead of that note and is the only fully CU small size reported from this popular charter.
