Very Rare Atlantic NB of New York Ace
New York, NY - $1 Original Fr. 380 The Atlantic National Bank
Ch. # 1388 PMG Extremely Fine 40.This is a great note from a very rare New York City bank which issued Original Series examples only before the receiver arrived to close its doors forever in 1873. It is the finest of just four pieces in the census, all Aces, and it is a lovely note with bright paper along with wonderful color and bold pen signatures. By way of comparison, we auctioned a PMG Very Fine 35 example from this bank two years ago for $4,440.
