Sausalito, CA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 609 The First National
Bank Ch. # 12453 PMG Very Fine 20.This great California note comes from an excessively rare, one-bank Marin County location and is one of just four pieces reported. It represents an issuer that was only in business from 1923 until 1927. Crossing the auction block for the first time, this $5 has sustained just honest wear and retains good color and very legible stamped signatures. It is only the second piece from this rare charter to be publicly offered since 2008.
