One of Two Reported Fountain Small Size - First Offering Since 2008
Fountain, CO - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First National Bank Ch. # 6772
PMG Choice Fine 15.This offering hails from a just plain rare El Paso County bank that was the sole issuer in this community until the receiver arrived to shut the doors in August of 1930. Crossing the auction block for the first time, it is one of just two small size in the census and the first to publicly appear since the other known example, a low grade $20, sold at auction in 2008. This solid mid-grade $10 with decent color displays just honest wear. It is another great Colorado rarity that we are pleased to present this evening.
