Newly Reported Marysville Plain Back - Tied for the Finest Known

Marysville, CA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 606 The First National Bank Ch. # (P)11123 PMG Very Fine 30.
This wonderful new addition to the census of this scarce Yuba County bank that closed its doors in 1931 is not only just the eighth large size to be reported, but it also becomes tied for the finest known in the census. It features excellent color, bold purple stamped signatures, and just even, problem free wear. In our recent Central States auction this past May, we offered the other PMG Very Fine 30-graded large note from this charter, with mention of minor foreign substance, and it fetched $11,400. This problem free piece, which is only three serial numbers away from that previous offering, should do at least as well.
