Rare Hemet Large Size - One of Three Known
Hemet, CA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 606 The First National Bank
Ch. # (P)10764 PMG Choice Fine 15.A very rare large note from Hemet's only issuing bank. Only three pieces are listed in the census, and, with only $440 outstanding from here in large size, that may well be the extent of the bank's survivors. This offering, which is the only one of the three known large to have made a public appearance in the past dozen years, was part of the Lowell Horwedel holdings that we auctioned in 2004. It is an evenly circulated note that displays just honest wear.
