Milton 1E50?.? 50¢ First Issue Face Proof PCGS Choice New 63PPQ.When last sold by us in 2013, we said: "This is the last note in the set with the 5¢ and 25¢ that were die sunk directly onto a soft cardstock much like the Bristol Board proofs. The same configuration as the 5¢ and 25¢, except it is cancelled with two perfectly round holes in the bottom corners. While it does not have a pencilled number on the back, it still fits perfectly as part of the set. The last example of this intriguing set of notes that warrants more research." The entire set has now been reassembled. The 5¢, 10¢ and 25¢ are numbered 1, 2 and 3 on their backs; the 50¢ is not numbered but is beyond question part of the original set. Lot 20231 is the 5¢ piece, Lot 20241 is the 10¢ piece, and Lot 20247 is the 25¢ example to complete the set.
