Richmond, VA- Commonwealth of Virginia $1-$1-$1-$1 July 21, 1862 Cr. 17-Cr. 17-Cr. 17- Cr. 17 Uncut Sheet PMG Very Fine 25 Net.A rather unusual uncut sheet that is fully signed and numbered but has been places other than a vault where it would have been quite protected. The sheet has clearly been folded and has some small internal problems mentioned by PMG. This suggests that perhaps the sheet was "liberated" at some point during the war and kept as a souvenir by unknown parties. There is no proof for that, but this is not a garden variety uncut sheet. Importantly, in 2007 Shull was unaware of any uncut sheets of state notes from Virginia.
