San Francisco, CA - $20 1870 Fr. 1152 The First National Gold
Bank Ch. # 1741 PMG Choice Fine 15.Examples are difficult to locate in any grade of this plain rare $20 National Gold Bank Note. This offering, while long listed in the census, is crossing the auction block for the first time. It has seen its share of circulation and has a tape repair in the right margin and a missing bottom right corner tip, but this note maintains an overall pleasing appearance for the grade. The colors are more than acceptable, the signatures remain bold, and the gold coin vignette on the back retains plenty of detail.
