The "Holy Grail" of Disney Dollars
Framed Presentation for Disney World 50th Anniversary

Courtesy Signed Disney Dollars Framed Disney World $50 2005 50th Anniversary "Boyer Design" Rodgers R-122.
Disney Dollars were issued in $1, $5, and $10 denominations. For the 50th Anniversary or Disney World, a $50 denomination was issued. The art for this special dollar was created and signed by Disney Legend Charles Boyer (1935 - 2021). Boyer started at Disneyland in 1960 as a portrait sketch artist and was then Disney's first full-time artist. He finished his career at Disney, retiring in 1999. He created a variety of influential Disney artwork, including the famous "Triple Self Portrait" and "Self Portrait: Mickey Mouse". He made sure Mickey was dressed to impress in his artwork for this historical dollar and included the iconic castle on the back. This historical dollar measures about 6'' x 2.5'' and is Courtesy Autographed by Boyer. It comes presented in the original 12'' x 10'' Plexiglas frame it was sold in. The frame includes a reflective background so you can see the back of the bill. It also includes sparkling gold mat and a plaque with information on the bill on the inside of the frame. The most recent example offered by Heritage realized $10,800 in our April 2024 "Art of Disneyland" auction.
