Limited Print Run Disney World $10 Series 1998
Disney Dollar Disney World $10 1998 Rodgers R-058 PCGS Superb
Gem New 68PPQ.Disney World is represented by the D prefix and Series 1998 is one of several series where notes of Disney World had a limited print run. Serial number D00025255A in this lot was cut from the fifth Disney World 18-subject (3 by 6) sheet for the $10 denomination that was sheet numbered as 0005D according to the PCGS front label. The 68PPQ note in this lot came from the top row of that sheet as this piece has a large amount of top selvage that in this case retained the always interesting color control strip. Uncut serial numbered Disney sheets for several series were made available in small quantities and sold at souvenir shops at the various Disney parks and resorts plus Disney Store franchise outlets. See Disney Numismagic The Art and Magic of Collecting Disney Currency by (Teddy C. Ryan III), pages 199-203. Estimates are always hard for esoteric items, but we have seen another note cut from sheet 0005D with a grade of PCGS 65PPQ and no color control strip. It had a price tag of nearly $4,500. We will let the bidders decide what it will take to bring this Disney beauty home.
