Description
T22 $10 1861 PF-1 Cr. 150 PCGS Very Fine 25.This note was printed by the New Orleans branch of the ABNCo, using the trade name Southern Bank Note Company which was dusted off to provide some cover from criticism for the New York firm. 58,860 notes were issued between November 13, 1861 and May 15, 1862. Production had been permanently halted with the fall of New Orleans in April 1862. This is a clean note with good paper and excellent colors including the red-orange security elements of the design. PMG mentions minor restorations which do not easily betray their location or nature through the holder. Southern Bank Note Company produced notes are always popular and are becoming more difficult to acquire in nice condition.
