Uncut Giori Test Note Sheet

Giori "Washington" Face and Back Test Notes Uncut Sheet of 32 PCGS Apparent Very Choice New 64.
This uncut test sheet was printed in the tete-beche format in 1976 by a Magna press in Geneva, New York under BEP supervision. This particular type is known as "Washington" Gioris, as George Washington is the central portrait, while the other major type is known as "Jefferson" Gioris, because Thomas Jefferson is the central portrait. These test notes should have been destroyed after printing but were instead spirited away into the collector community. We have offered several uncut sheets of 16-subject Gioris over the years, but 32-subject examples are truly rare as almost all were cut into pairs of face and back notes in order to satisfy collectors. The Apparent grade is for a small edge tear that stays within the selvage at top left.
