Approved in 1837 to consolidate and fund the public debt, this emission included this denomination, $100, that earned 10% interest and was printed on paper watermarked with an "R." Shull rates it as Very Rare with a surviving population of 5-15 examples. This note is well printed on bright paper with dark penned information. As usual, the note is neatly cut canceled.
