CT9/29B Counterfeit $20 1861 PMG Very Fine 25.The most obvious difference on this otherwise quite deceptive lithographed counterfeit is that the "y" in "years" above CONFEDERATE touches the "C" and is not completed. The signatures are wrong and the serial number is higher than the highest serial number issued, but none of that would have been known to shopkeepers and merchants targeted to receive these in commerce. A pleasant fully framed example of a rare counterfeit with no repairs, restorations, or impairments of any significance noted.
