HB-165 EP-171 Reed-KG24 24¢ Kirkpatrick & Gault Very Fine-Extremely Fine.John Gault moved to New York and set up a business with small scale broker Joseph Kirkpatrick. KG24 has a R-6, 16 to 20 known, Reed rarity rating. The stamp is centered, but a large portion is discolored. Tilting the piece reveals a small amount of crazing that is scattered. The advertising side has retained a good amount of silvering within the protected areas of the lettering.
