El Centro, CA - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The First National
Bank Ch. # (P)9350 PMG Very Fine 25.This great California note is from an exceptionally scarce Imperial County bank, which issued large notes only before its liquidation in 1925 and which has just four examples listed in the census. Two are Plain Backs, including this example which exhibits just honest wear and retains solid paper for the grade. It is the only note from this tough charter to have made a public appearance in the past eight years.
