Description

Georgia 1777 $2 PMG Very Fine 20.
The $2 design features the denomination printed in red and an interesting allegorical seal of two jugs floating in water with the motto SI COLLIDIMUS FRANGIMUR (If we collide we break). The note is well printed on good paper with just minor edge irregularities in the upper left and lower right corners. Things were crowded on this note, with five signers vying for space in the lower left quadrant. Those signing this note include William Evans, Samuel Saltus, Benjamin Andrew, William O'Bryen, and Nehemiah Wade and all of their signatures are bold.
