Condition Census Friedberg 329 $50 Silver
Fr. 329 $50 1880 Silver Certificate PCGS Extremely Fine 45.One of the many high denomination rarities that we included in our offering of the Taylor Family Collection, this note was described in part, "Current census information indicates 27 known examples, though this $50 may rank as one of the more eye appealing pieces of the group. The current offering is beautifully centered, fully bright and boasts solid margins." Today, one more note is recorded in the census, though it is not a competitor in terms of eye appeal. The offering in 2005 resulted in a price realized of more than $63,000. To date, just one About Uncirculated example has been graded by PMG and PCGS combined. No Uncirculated examples are reported in the population reports or the census.
