BC-29aA $1 1954 Devil's Face ReplacementThe first of a run of extraordinarily high grade 1954 Devil's Face Replacement notes, all formerly part of the Siesta collection. PMG has graded only nine replacement $1 examples bearing the Coyne-Towers signatures, with only two reaching the Gem grade, this 65 and one 66. PMG states "Exceptional Paper Quality, Embossing & Color," and we can add little more. Expect the Charlton catalogue value of $8500 to be swiftly eclipsed for this rarity. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
