Description
Rare Richmond $10/5 1928A Double Denomination
Fr. 2001-E $10/5 1928A Federal Reserve Note. Crisp Uncirculated. From our Taylor Family Collection where the description read, "This is one of the scarcer double denominations with just a handful of examples recorded. It's available far less frequently than the Kansas City $5/10, and, despite its considerably higher degree of rarity will likely fetch just about the same amount by the time the hammer falls this evening." The note realized $19,550 on an estimate of $10,000-$15,000. With errors of this magnitude tightly held and rarely offered, expect a substantial increase by the time the hammer falls this afternoon.
