Description
William E. Simon Courtesy Autographed Fr. 1226 3¢ Third Issue Vertical Strip of Five PCGS Apparent About New 50.This vertical strip is autographed between each note for a total of four times by the 63rd Secretary of the Treasury, William E. Simon. He served from 1974 to 1977. Simon was marginally interested in numismatics. He passed away in 2000 and likely would not have approved of the politics that he has missed over the last thirteen years based on his best known quote, "There is only one social system that reflects the sovereignty of the individual: the free market or capitalist system." The Apparent grade is for minor adhesive remnants which are barely visible through the holder.
