Description
Fr. 2152-K* $100 1934 Federal Reserve Note. Gem Crisp Uncirculated.A gorgeous note that was put away by our consignor many years ago and has not seen the light of day since. It is a lovely example of this very rare star from the avidly collected Dallas district. From the known serial numbers it appears that only a relative handful of stars were issued from this district, and examples from here in any grade have been lacking in all of the major small size collections sold during the past several years. The note is bright and well printed, and the face centering is letter perfect. The back centering is a touch low, but by no means enough to affect the gem grade. Expect this rare star to bring multiples of the foolishly low Oakes catalogue value of $1000, as knowledgeable collectors who have searched for this piece for years compete for the right to bring it home.
