Ellensburg, WA - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The Washington NB Ch. # 9079A Choice About Uncirculated note from a tightly clustered group of this type and denomination listed variously in the census as AU or CU. The collecting fraternity is indeed fortunate to benefit from the foresight of the individual who set aside a run of nicer material from here many years ago. Tonight's example has all the eye appeal of a Choice CU or better note, yet displays only a faint and quite difficult to detect center fold. With increased interest in Washington issues, we expect this piece from our 2006 Central States Auction to exceed its previous price realized of $1,150.
