Description

Fort Smith, AR - $10 1929 Ty. 2 The First NB Ch. # 1950 Uncut Strip of Three
Uncut National sheets on Arkansas are rare as a group as the state can only boast of four large and a dozen small in the census. Therefore, this trio from a bank in which no other uncut Nationals are documented, becomes all the more desirable. You can also add into the equation that the First NB only issued a partial sheet of four Type 2 $10's as its last sheet for the denomination and this lot is the first three notes of that final sheet. These Tens were folded down to the size of a single note and the face of the first note and the back of the last note have toned a shade. A few scattered minute ink droplets and a couple of tiny edge splits are also noticed as this triumvirate probably sat in President A.N. Sicard's desk for a long time. A truly neat opportunity from the Land of Opportunity. Very Fine-Extremely Fine, nicely centered with embossing on all three notes.
