Santa Fe, NM (Territory)- Splinter & Black Lumber & Coal Co. "3" Advertising Note Vlack UNL PMG Very Fine 20.It is a rare day when an obsolete note appears from the New Mexico Territory. Today is one of those days. There is scant contemporary information on this firm aside from what can be seen on the note itself. The firm apparently dealt in lumber, coal, hardware, and related items. PMG notes that this example has a diagonal sealed tear in the top edge that runs from above the "t" in "United" down to top of the first "S" in "States." This note will bring any collection to which it is added to the next level.
